Providing Promise Ministries

Providing Promise Ministries was founded as a 501C-3 non profit ministry in 2019. This was a dream for over 20 years to have a ministry birthed out of the tragedy and devastation that Kris experienced after losing her husband, Commander Jon Rystrom in the naval accident. Founder and President, Kris Rystrom Emmert stepped into the calling and that God gave her soon after she released her book, Providing Promise, A Navy Widow’s Journey to Hope.

The Vice-President is Rev. Joe Emmert. Board members include: Rebecca Statzer, Faye Emmert, and Abigail Jennings.

Providing Promise Ministries provides various avenues of ministry to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ while offering teachings of Biblical promises. Events include a weekly Monday evening radio program on WJBZ-Praise 96.3, ladies’ Bible studies, Glimmers of Hope women’s conferences, speaking events, media interviews, podcasts, retreats, cruises, and workshops. The ministry’s primary goal is to offer hope to the hurting through encouragement, counsel, and Biblical teachings. The secondary goal is to offer a community of Christ-centered purpose and passion with other individuals who find themselves
isolated and rejected due to life’s unforeseen circumstances. Our third goal is to develop Chapters in various cities in order to expand the reach of the ministry.

We invite you to be part of this growing and thriving ministry as we pray for open doors across the state of TN and across the United States.

The ministry’s life verse is the Prayer of Jabez: Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. I Chronicles 4: 9-10
